Sunday Morning Surprise

I created this recipe one morning for something unique and different for my family. Since we love the taste of brown sugar and cinnamon, this recipe combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls, egg casseroles, and French toast.



Step: 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease the bottom and sides of a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.

Step: 2

Pull crescent roll dough out of the can; slice dough into 1/2-inch pieces. Arrange over the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top. Drop teaspoonfuls of the Neufchatel cheese on top.

Step: 3

Whisk eggs and milk together in a small bowl. Pour into the baking dish.

Step: 4

Bake in the preheated oven until the center is set, 40 to 50 minutes.

Eat good breakfast to start the day has become a fabulous habit. It’s a great way to start my 24 hours off healthfully. The sweet hit from the fruit wakes me up and gives me power to take on the morning. The sweetness is often vilified as the root of all disease, but fruit is also loaded with fibre, which is best for your digestive system and helps keep you feel full longer, and less likely grab a snack out of the vending machine before lunchtime.

Make fruit a morning habit is simple . Simply put the sweetness in your fridge next to the sweet drink or on the bench next to your grain bowl , or beside your coffee maker or tea kettle — somewhere where you’ll see it. Before you eat the rest of your breakfast , eat your fruit. If you’re not normally a breakfast person.
